7.62x54R brass

GOOD LUCK! Some of my stash is 4 years old & starting to fail & there are no steady sources to replace it that I would call remotely cheap. Try bcredneck but I think they are out. This whole 7.62x54r thing is really getting on my nerves. Remember when we had a crapload of ammo & no one was bringing in mosins? Now we have the guns & no ammo. Reloading makes the search for the best priced ammo go away & starts the search for equipment, powder & components. Anybody out there stock xmp5744?
 
There's a boatload of Norma commercial ammo which is due in within a few weeks (don't ask me how I know ;)), and probably some of that Igman stuff too !
 
I've always had a steady source of decently priced reloadable 7.62x54, mostly igman, some bell. Going to stock up on some more soon. Unfortunately, these guys will not ship ammunition and are located in Newfoundland so for 95% of you this post is pointless.
 
www.hirschprecision.com go there talk to peter , he owns the company , lots and lots of 7.62x54 brass actually lapua brass, and is listed as 7.62x53r, same thing as 54r no diff i bought 200 and measured them against 54r, they are identical ! Was told same by peter , fires just fine out of my mosins , and btw, there is tons of ammo out there for that caliber , i found at least 100000 rounds being sold by various dealers just at the dugald gunshow (a few weeks ago) in manitoba, it's out there just gotta find it , anyway is 76$ per 100 pieces of brass they sell powder and top notch bullets as well , scenar bullets in the 28-40$ range per 100 , reloading components and nightforce scopes, not bad prices and an extreme pleasure to deal with :) oh yeah and i bought on a thursday and had it by monday ! these guys are great :) they also have 7.62x39 , and a bunch of regular calibers as well.

Well sounds like you have a good stock in MB, the big gun show in Calgary, well lets say I found 3 boxes but only bought one, went back and there were none left. :(

I've got a crate of metal cased milsurp ammo but I what to work on reloads as the good milsurp is not always available
