7 MAG Vs. 300 Win

I would for sure go with a 7mm mag it's a excellent caliber for a hunting rifle. I've also shot a 300 win Tika and it's for sure got some more kick! It all depends on what your using it for and what your personal prefence is. Good luck

If you don't handload, the 300 is probably a better choice as you have more factory loadings. If you do handload, there are so many different weights and styles in the .284 calibre that you can load accurate ammunition that almost makes the 300 vs 7 debate moot.

I shoot a T/C Encore in .300WM w/T-hole stock and Limbsaver recoil pad. I find with the two combined, recoil is cut down quite a bit.

Have owned both caliber, I can tell that both caliber make a great target shooting and Hunting, with the 300 win mag will have a slice edge over the 7mm rem mag, but the recoil are higher, that is the trade off, but 7mm rem mag having a very flat trajectory, great for long range target.
