7 mm rem. mag 160 gr

IMR 7828 has consistently been the best in my 7mm RM's

Also really good but now unobtainable is RL25 and Ramshot Magnum. I've never had much luck with H4831SC or H1000, but I may have given up too early on those due to success with 7828

I have used, with good success IMR and H 4350 with 140gr and 150gr bullets.

I have also switched over to Rem 9 1/2 primers (from Federal 215M) and am very pleased with the results.

we have loaded up some rounds with h1000 and are waiting a break in the weather, foothills where the range is located could have snow or rain. the tasco is questionable, and the conversation this morning will be about my concerns.

H1000 or Retumbo is only thing I have has success with. Mag Primers have never worked for me. I just go with the Regular match primers.
I would recommend using the BERGER VLD 168 Match Hunting too.
71 gr H1000
Nosler Brass

or

71.5 gr Retumbo
Hornandy Brass

Bullet seated to 2.720 CBTO. No idea what the COL though but they are definitely longer than what the book calls for which allows for the extra powder. All I know is that its 0.020" off the lands.
Recommend reading this. Allows more powder without more pressure. Sound weird but its right from Berger.

I have posted on here before about Warren Page, one of the very top riflemen of all time. In 1972 he was entered into the hunting hall of fame.
In 1971 he won his ninth National Match Benchrest championship.
He was also a top contender in world class long range rifle shooting.
I have his book, "The Accurate Rifle," and the word "node," so often talked about in lesser shooting circles, is not mentioned, not even once, in his entire book!
Here is a bit of what he says about loading rifles for long range shooting.

yes the word node has sprung up from nowhere and I had to read a lot to get the drift of what it was about. it was stating what a lot of roll you own students and experts were doing for years. a few people like litz and newbarry were explaining why it was happening.
I spend a lot of time keeping my friends interest in shooting alive.
