Well I was intrigued by the 7 SAUM and initially was going to build one on a SS Tikka action but come across a great deal on a Kimber 8400 325wsm Classic wood stocked rifle, this model has a floor plate which I much prefer over a DBM....so the Tikka action awaits another barrel/build ??

I picked up an used Wildcat Var-Tac stock and a 22 inch 1-8.5 twist IBI Carbon Fiber Barrel so dropped all the junk off to Gunsmith Gary Flach and poof out pops another dandy build,

Gary put a slight negative comb on the stock, trued and squared the action, adjusted the factory trigger to 2.5lbs and added one of his hand made 2 hole side port brakes, its a touch heavier than I like in a rifle but it certainly is a dream to shoot, 8lbs 8oz scoped with Talleys and a Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x44

I picked up a few boxes of original Remington Premier 160gr Nosler Partition ammo ( thanks Remington Jim) and a few boxes of Nosler Trophy Grade 160gr Accubond ammo, it definitely preferred the factory Nosler loaded Accubonds over the Remington loaded Partitions,

Velocity averaged 2800fps with both ammos but the Nosler ammo only had an ES of 9fps over 9 shots while the Remington was closer to 35fps over 6 shots,

I plan on loading up some 175gr Berger Elite Hunters and R26 as soon as the proper seating stem shows up for my Whidden dies.....the one that came with it was way to short.....

Very nice rifle, I always like that little fat cartridge. The only change I would of done is have the 26" stainless steel barrel, 1:9.5 twist, contour #3 or .625". Flach makes very nice rifles!
