.70 Nitro Express

Now that the .700 NE thread has been nicely hijacked (My bad), lets see what other fun big bores are out there to play with. I figure the 8 bore is an affordable & tolerable rifle to shoot for a lot of folks, especially in a muzzle loading configuration. Check out Jim Gefroh's site. He makes 'em big & purdy.;)

Correction: James Gefroh used to have a site up with nice pics, but it ain't there now...dammit.

Here are a couple

8 bore muzzle loading rifle beside a 45 Thompson and they weigh about the same, I shot .810 balls in the 8 bore

Then a Greener 4 bore SXS for 4 inch brass cases, which was sold in Capetown after barrels had chokes removed to make a ball gun
