70% off digital calipers at crappy tire

Make sure that if you buy the 11.99 calipers that you buy 19.99 in batteries unless you take the battery out after each use! Mine quit working within a few hours and would never turn back on... best warranty ever, toss em in the trash and never have to replace them again!

See that little knurled screw on top? Tighten it when you shut them off. The digital display is very sensitive and the slightest movement of the jaws will turn them on, even in the case. I had a set years ago that just ate batteries until I figured this out. Now have 5 or 6 sets around here in various toolboxes. Always work fine unless it gets to -40 in the garage.

I get all my CR2032's and CR123's off of eBay. Brand new name brand batteries (Sony, Maxell, Duracel, etc.) for ~$1 each. LR44's (what the Mastercraft caliper uses) for ~$0.50/each.

I also found that mine ate batteries. Yes, replacement batteries are cheap at many dollar stores but it is a pain in the butt to have to replace the battery every time you want to use it. I gave mine away.

Got a couple of those, china made ok caliper, but nothing beat a top quality dial micrometer -caliper... JP.

I have a very old Micronta digital that works every time, the cheap Can Tire one needs new batteries all the time. I prefer a dial type for reloading because I know that they will work every time.
