Picked up a NIB 700 LTR in 300saum, never owned by anyone, just sitting in a dusty box in a Vancouver warehouse since May of 2003's production date

no love for the SAUM!

Action screws were almost seized into the receiver. Bolt release all gummed up. I took the bolt apart and cleaned it up, the bore puked up some blue foam but seems nice and shiney now. Rounding up some dies and brass, we'll see if it goes bang in a couple weeks

might be fun

Already have a NIB 700 BDL SS in 7saum I rescued in 2010. Besides they never made an Ltr in 7 afaik...but that would be sweet

Gotta love the SAUM's, the best cartridges to ever come along and they went right over the heads of 99% of the gun buying public. What a bunch of dolts.

I'm going to try some 208gr Amax w/ H4350. Be interesting if I can hit 2600 fps in the 20" brl. If so it's got some right impressive numbers out to a thousand

well she goes bang! :D

first two groups @ 100 yards. Top one is 155gr Scenars/Varget, right is 168gr Nosler BT/H4350

Moved to 460 yards and fired five of the 168gr NBT

With some fireformed brass, load development and maybe a bigger scope (10x isn't ideal for precision) I think this rifle has some potential! :)
