Hello if your reading this your some one who realy want's loung range shooting in the edmonton area. Read my intro now read the next few lines and think about it.

I can run for president of The C.H.A.S. I want a 700 meter range. Too do this I need 10 700 meter peaple they need to be at the 2012 AGM in november in edmonton, at the old timmers cabin on Scona Road bring 2 friends each who are members. I would modifie a existing feature of the current range, it would become a 4 position shooting pad,it would cost 2 thousand dollers cheap right? The next step is around 12 thousand dollers that would be our back stop. we have 40 thousand dollers in our bank acount as of last general meeting. How do i know these things well read my intro and my other posts, so why are we with out a 700 meter range...............know one realy wants to commit to it thats were 10 of you reading this who are members in good standing and willing to serve as directers come in. I can win the office of president but with out 10 of you who bring 2 friends each who can vote in the AGM I cant get us our 700 meter range. look at my other posts and be kind im not a blogger im anoyed at the inaction and want it to change participate. :HR:

Before you come on a public forum asking for peoples confidence in you, to represent and ultimately manage/oversee a shooting club...

You better go back to school and learn how to fu*kin spell, & use punctuation and sentence structure.

How do you expect anyone to take you serious, I sure as hell wouldn't/don't...

OP - try the following on for size and re-edit as you see fit:

Hello, if you are reading this you are likely someone who really would appreciate some long-range shooting in the Edmonton area. Please read the following and give it some consideration.

I am able to put myself forward for the position of president of the C.H.A.S. and, if elected, I would advocate strongly for a 700 meter range. To be successful in my bid for office, I need as many like-minded people to attend the C.H.A.S 2012 AGM which will be held on November xx at the Old Timers Cabin on Scona Road in Edmonton. If elected, my initial advocacy would focus on modifying the current range to accommodate a four-position shooting pad for a total cost of approximately two thousand dollars. Following this, the berm would have to be re-engineered for a total cost of approximately twelve thousand dollars. Based upon my understanding of the club’s current financial position, I believe the club can afford this expenditure and that improvements as outlined would ( insert valid reasons why this is a good idea not just “I want” ).

I really want this club to have a viable long-range facility and I look forward to the support of other long-range shooting enthusiasts etc etc…………

Next time maybe ask a friend to proof read your posts about important issues.

Stop spamming the forums with your election message or you will be out. CGN is not your personal election speaker corner where you paste your election flyers on every wall you may find.

I think the rest of the C.H.A.S. membership is on board with the range returning to a longer range designation than it currently has. Four position? Why would we take a step backward? I think I'm going to show up just to make sure things don't get out of hand and we don't end up closed down.

He was here now he is gone . Come on post some more and tell us what your gonna do to improve the range? I am curious to know what your platform is for running the club? How your going to manage relations with the county and the CFO! What will happen to the factions that shoot there? You sound unhappy with the three gun league ? Will you disband and ban the shoots ? Come on answer some simple questions . If you dont want to conduct this in an open form feel free to pm me and discuss it

WOW!! Coming from someone who HAS been actively involved in the range and working with the existing executive to improve our facility, I understand the current challenges dealing with CFO and county approvals. It is not quite as simple as "we have the money and the dirt, why don't we have a backstop?" So far I have seen you contribute ZERO to the existing facility improvements, cleanup, and leagues. When we hold planned shoots, you show up and shoot yet don't help with running the shoots, set ups, or clean ups. VOLUNTEERING AND CONTRIBUTING to the facility would be the groundwork for your political aspirations. I'm not totally sure you are presidential material. I am a long range shooter and a member of the 3-gun league. If you have designs against the 3-gun league in CHAS, I will make sure to be at the meeting with as many other 3 gunners to make sure CHAS does not have a self serving presidential candidate like yourself win because he drags his boys club in on voting night.

BTW. The current plans for the long range is significantly more ambitious than a 4 position and 700m. BOOO for such low aspirations.

It seems to me that if I was running a campaign for a presidency, I would have at least mentioned who I was. I would have also probably responded to the concerns of the club members who have posted on all 3 of my threads. I wonder where this mystery candidate went? I guess we don' have to worry any more!

Not only that, but if factor the downhill grade for the entire length of the range which the CFO requires, the cost adds up quickly. The plan laid out at the last meeting sounds very good - things need to happen in a certain order.
