Has anyone here fired an mlr in .338 lapua? I have been wanting find one and wonder if it is worth the effort.

I have the NEW 338 lapua sitting in my safe right now awaiting rings, base and a scope. Still unfired. Seems like an ok rifle and is as cheap as you can get for a 338. Last time I checked P+D had one or two in stock.

700 mlr

a year ago i ordered 2 rem 700 MLR's 338 Lapua one from wolverine supplies
and one at wholesale at the time i worked a wholesale saskatoon i was waiting till the fist one came in then was going to pick it up. wolverine got one first i looked at it but was not impressed it was almost identical to my 700 Sendero minus the flat matt Finnish and the M-break, it looked like it would recoil like a tank weighing only 10lbs. i didn't end up getting one. the moral of the story is Wholesale saskatoon my still have it.

Planning to put Brake on your MLR. I know the Original break on The MLR is Suck, not a good recoil reducer for sure, kick up quite abit of dust and grass, Very Noisy, Suck...
roedale Muzzle brake M18X1 metric, How much does it cost, I am looking for an Effective Muzzle break...

I looked at the remingon website, but could not see anything about how many rounds the magazine holds. Kinda surprised about the dirth of information.

I have the first version, 2detach mag, and a pleasure to shoot. less than 5 MOA at 800 yards and wasn't installed for serious shooting so it will be better this year!
No problem with that gun

The roedale should be around the $200 mark by the time I get it here. The remington is threaded already. 5/8x24 tpi. I had to use a little heat to get mine off. I had to question is as I could not see a line where the brake started but sure enough it is removable. They just use a crapload of locktite. The magazine holds 5 rounds.

My opinion on the brake ---it WORKS !!! could shoot all day with it . As a matter of fact that's exactly what a buddy did with his "MLR" last summer !---- " plinking with it like it was a .22 "--as noted by another range rat .
With proper bedding & load work-ups - it is a "tack " driver .

$200 is a very good price for such a Nice Muzzle break, I see that it does came in 5/8-24tpi, that should be easy to tap.
