Not sure if this goes here...

We all know what they are. we have seen the vids, anyone fired one, been around when one if fired? comments, concerns, dreams or wishes. I for one don't need anything this big, but it sure as hell would be fun to fire off a couple rnds outta this SOB!

enough weight will tame any cartridge.

Is it legal in F-class to mount your rifle to the deck of a flatbed trailer? :D

PH Mark Sullivan has or had a Watson Bros. .700 NE and there is a picture of it in his first book. Sullivan is a master of the double rifle, and his prowess with a .577 or a .600 has to be seen to be appreciated. Sullivan considers the .700 to be just too much of a good thing, and he wasn't happy with the length of time it took to bring the rifle back on target for a follow up shot. As stated, this is an interesting round to consider in the precision rifle forum.

Being the precision rifle forum, we should put the right spin on it: All you need is a Stevens 200 and a drop in barrel you can have a precision 700 Nitro express!

In the interest of precision the guys over at Accurate Reloading have the 700H&H chambered in a 18-1/4 pound 50BMG bolt action!
Max load was 2 grains of Bullseye (starter powder) plus 255grains of VVN160...This load pushed the 1000 grain bullet 2547fps!

The stock looks like something Jerry would appreciate. :D

Here you go...Check the hang-fire!

Last time I was over there they had finally reached the end all be all of big bores. I believe it was something like 1300 grains at 3200fps.
No mention of accuracy.

I hear the Mossberg 100 ATR can hold up to the punishment of this round better. :stirthepot2:

Also you should be considering optics with that round. A Tasco 6-24 target should do it.

On an unrelated note, the guy that comes in at the end of the video, used to have a reloading webstite that was pretty good, I cannot find it anymore, if anyone knows please send me the link

As I remember he is from ?Dubai? and that range in the video is in his basement, next to his reloading room :)

That classic Youtube video is actually of a .577 T-Rex rifle, not .700 NE. Here's the always entertaining full version:

not something I would like to try, though I probably would just to take the punishment.

Funny in that video lol is the only guy that took it was the one wearing demin cutoffs lol.

Mostly a lot of poor shooting posture forcing the gun out of most of their hands.

I like this this version better as the others are put into some kind of racist video trying to claim that arabs can't shoot.
