I had some parts laying around and put them together for myself..

An older 700 action, trued and the bolt bumped, a 24 inch BDL heavy barrel turned lighter and set back an inch and chambered to .243 Win. Glass bedded action and floating barrel, Kwik Klip installed, 2 pound trigger. 3-9 x 33 Leupold in a set of Warne rings. Cerakoted by a friend... Weighs about 7.5 pounds.

Shot at the range today using factory 100 grain Interlock Hornady Custom International ammunition... under .700". Factory Winchester 100 grain shot about .750".

It's a keeper...

Very nice Dennis. It's amazing when all the "parts" fall in to place! Almost like you knew what you were doing. Wish I had your talent and abilities.

What cartridge was the barrel chambered for originally, 243 or 6mm? I assume you cut it back an inch for a reason.........What twist does it have? Must be 1-9 to shoot 100s that good......

Now hold on here....there's something wrong....where the hell does a professional gunsmith find the time to build himself a rifle AND completely finish it AND actually get to the range to group it.......unheard of in the annals of history !!!!!!!!! You're an amazing man, Dennis.......:eek:;);)
