700 Police VS Savage 10FCP MCMILLAN

....and there is still no support for a "Savage Vs. Remington" forum? This question comes up every second day and nobody has clued into the fact that it is all about personal choice. A factory gun is a factory gun and they all shoot the same. If that weren't the case, we'd have all read about it by now.

Nicely said. You're smokin' crack if you think one is more accurate than the other. I have yet to see any Savage that shoots any better than a Remington and vise versa. They all make nice tight groups at 100y and 200y and can hit a MOA+ target at 1200y. :bangHead:

What you said.

I own one of each.
The 700P action is smoother.
They both shoot the same with the Savage being perhaps slightly more accurate, but maybe that's 'cause my Savage is a bit newer (less worn) than my 700P.

"If" I had to choose which one to keep I would pick my 700P not because it's a nicer rifle, but because it's a 'Police" model and therefore better, more tactical and more likely to get me chicks.
Unless the 'P' stands for "parkerised" which really just denotes the finish on the rifle... 'Not really as glamorous as "Police", but cool none the less 'cause parkerising is very tactical.
If you're worried about looking bad-ass get youself a well fitted gillie suit.

Well put.

Just got a .67 in group at 200 yds with my 30-06 Savage, a cheap Barska scope at 9x mag, and some 165 gr Win soft point. Harris bipod. No changes other than sanding out the stock for a bit of clearance and lock tite-ing the mounts down. Accutrigger sure helps me. It was a three shot group but for a hunting rifle I think that is fair.
