Just in case you can't find a model specific listing for the early Model 7 3 hole receiver.....

The Leupold 1 piece 700 S/A scope base fits the 3 hole Model 7 perfectly.

Sure beats the old ####ty Weaver base #70.

Drove a couple of hours today and picked up another 7 , this one in 223,.

I'm not sure why more people don't like them, short ,light and early models have decent factory sights.

The model 7 is light and handy, not known for outstanding accuracy tho. Mine in 7-08 is a joy to carry and accurate enough for the type of deer hunting I do.

Walked the same walk not long ago.
Couldn't get 'nuff windage with the #70 base and Weaver rings.
Stopped in @ Dellysuns and got him looking for the Leupold one piece base with the
twist in front ring and adjustable rears.

Good chit is easy to work with.

OP,
Check scope base to rear bridge clearance.

Which may or may not require a shim or bedding.

Place the one piece 700 S/A base onto the receiver & thread a fastener into the rear hole in the front receiver ring.

Check rear bridge to base clearance w/a feeler/thickness gauges.

Shim or bed as required.

Model Seven receivers are the same as 600/660/XR-100/XP-100R,XP-100's.
