I would like to just get the clip and avoid mods. Did an exhaustive search over the course of a week checking dozens of Canadian sites. Found a couple spots in the states that won’t ship here.Don't ruin a fine action with an extractor conversion. When I was in business both rivet style and rivetless extractors were easy to get. I always had a few on hand.
That was one of the first places I checked.I had to get a new extractor once for a .223 bolt face, at that time Ellwood Epps had them. Not sure if they still do, and Wes can eat a bag of di cks but that was the only source I found at the time.

The original Remington enclosed extractor system is what makes the 700 the strongest, safest 2 lug bolt action ever made. Altering that system removes it from the stongest, safest 2 lug action ever made. Period. No other extractor system on a 700 seals up as well if there is ever a catastrphic case failure.
I wasn’t sure what you meant, so I prayed to God (PTG) first, and then called Pacific Tool and Gauge. I ordered the complete bolt with factory extractor November 15 and waited.PTG and wait.
I know this is a few months back, but have to agree, none of these 700 clones with external extractor, or modifying a 700 for that makes a lick of sense to me, it's the single greatest benefit of the 700 design, once that's altered, what are you left with? There are better designed gas handling rifles then a neutered 700 with external extractor out there, get one of those. The original Remington enclosed extractor system is what makes the 700 the strongest, safest 2 lug bolt action ever made.
