Hello! Having a hell of a time trying to find a rivet-less extractor for my 308.
Is there anywhere in Canada that has these in stock?
If not, where’s the best shop to send it for M-16 or mini m-16 conversion?

Don't ruin a fine action with an extractor conversion. When I was in business both rivet style and rivetless extractors were easy to get. I always had a few on hand.
I would like to just get the clip and avoid mods. Did an exhaustive search over the course of a week checking dozens of Canadian sites. Found a couple spots in the states that won’t ship here.
Lots for 223, but nothing for standard face.

Guntech
knows his stuff but in this case would go with the conversion
absolutely nothing wrong with the original style but !!
i'm not talking threw my butt i did remington warranty work for 12 years i know a bitt about remingtons

If I could find a rivet-less clip, I would gladly keep it like that, but it needs to work. A few sites I saw out of stock said ‘obselete’.

The original Remington enclosed extractor system is what makes the 700 the strongest, safest 2 lug bolt action ever made. Altering that system removes it from the stongest, safest 2 lug action ever made. Period. No other extractor system on a 700 seals up as well if there is ever a catastrphic case failure.

Agreed 100000000000%

Some have to learn the hard way!!

I know this is a few months back, but have to agree, none of these 700 clones with external extractor, or modifying a 700 for that makes a lick of sense to me, it's the single greatest benefit of the 700 design, once that's altered, what are you left with? There are better designed gas handling rifles then a neutered 700 with external extractor out there, get one of those.

There are no Remington 700 riveted extractors available in Canada except for the rare magnum one. If one of mine breaks I'm not sure what I will do as I much prefer the original extractor but I also want my rifle to work. I've heard there are some aftermarket riveted extractors available in the US but not here.
