I think it is 3.5lbs
I would be very surprised to see a rem factory trigger at 3.5lbs. More like 10 pounds. I have a trigger gauge, but I guess if you had light barbell plates you could hook a string around your trigger and try hanging light plates off it until it broke (doing it several times and averaging).
I think BC Guy is about right, it's really heavy from the factory and I would't doubt if it's 10 pounds. Remington triggers aren't that difficult to adjust though.
You could also try to weigh the trigger pull with a fishing scale. It's not exact, but will give you some idea of what the pull weight is.

The first question that needs to be asked here, is what version do you have? Is the SPS this years model or last years?
The new X-Mark Pro triggers this year have a built in adjustment range. They come set from factory at 3.5lbs, the adjustment range is 2lbs either way. Remington includes the little allen key and I brought mine down to 2.5lbs, It breaks nice and I don't see any need to upgrade.
IF you have last years model, mine came set at about 6.5lbs.

Yeah it's nice to see remington reacting to customer feedback. It's super handy to have a user friendly adjustable trigger from factory at no extra cost. It works great!
