700 triggers

If you wish sub 2lb trigger pulls, Jewell is king. If you prefer greater weights several of the other trigger manufactures are your best bet.

I will likely regret saying this but, a Jewell's trigger degrades to inferior, as weight is increased to 2.5lb +. They become vague and mushy.

That being said, I use Jewell on all my rifles, including hunting rifles, save the ones that Jewell does not make for the application.

My experience with Shilen, was disappointing (Poor materials and pull)

I tried for quite a while to get my x mark where I wanted it, And still had inconsistent trigger pulls from 3-4.5 pounds, Maybe I wasn't tuning it right? but I put a timney in and I love the thing.

Edit: I just looked at the youtube video of the guy adjusting his X mark, I wish I would have watched that a few weeks ago.

Jewels are the best and well worth the money. But you can look at just buying Remington's newer x mark pro. I found the one that came stock on my 700tlr to be excellent. They can be had cheaply and will outshoot most casual gun enthusiasts abilities. 2lbs is very functional for anything from target to hunting. Unless you are a high end br guy, you'll do we'll with one.
