OP jump all over this!
Passed on the offer.
Other than the inlays, the rifle is in perfect condition and is an awesome shooter.
Why fix what ain’t broken???
I was just curious about the inlays.

Yes...I was thinking about putting an old K2.5 scope on it (more period correct). It seems to be a shooter as is otherwise, so I doubt I would change anything else. The only thing I want to do is find a replacement wrist cap. The one it had disappeared somewhere along the line.Nice old rifle with some aftermarket updates. I wouldn't change a thing other add an older scope of good quality and maybe have it bedded.
Finding an original stock might be a challenge.
A K2.5 would certainly work, Royzo, but considering that the 300 Savage is easily a 300 yard hunting cartridge, perhaps a K4 would be better. Come to think of it, a Weaver V4.5 would be the real deal. All the way from 1.5 power in the bush and dark timber to 4.5 along the power lines and across open cuts and fields.

That stock is nicer than the originals which from what I remember were plain Jane.
