I have a new T/C Impact, that will shoot 3" at 75 yds. Move back to 100 yds and a good group is 18". Move ahead again and it's back to 3". Covered all the variables by changing bullets, powder, load and shooter. Same thing, can't get a good group at 100yds. Funny thing is, it's the same situation with an in-line Norinco, which was aquired and shot before the T/C. Can't figure out why such a difference in accuracy for a 25yd distance change. Using a rest and cleaned after every shot. Any ideas, besides two really bad shooters?

Before you give up on the two rifles have someone who is an accomplished rifleman try the guns with your most accurate loads in 5-shot groups. Is there any evidence that your bullets are tumbling: i.e., oval holes in the 100 yd targets?

Bullets aren't tumbling. Good idea, to get someone else who is a more accomplished rifleman, as they shouldn't be too hard to find. Just didn't think an extra 25 yds would make such a differance.

What projectiles are you using?
Sighting errors should be in proportion to distance.

Have tried 3 different types of projectiles, same results. Going to get another BP shooter with some expierence, to try it out. Thanks to all that helped out.
