What would you guys say is a fair price for a 760 (.270 Win) in mint condition? I'm looking at one and need to justify its purchase. Thanks.

Value just like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. Some wouldn't pay much for any Remington pump,, however....

I am a huge fan. I own two 760 Gamemaster Carbines in 308 and one non-carbine in 35 Remington. Carbines are from the late 60's and my 35 is from the 1950s. All are incredibly accurate despite having relatively stiff triggers. I absolutely love mine and think they are the cat's meow especially in tree stands and ground blinds.

I don't think you would be disappointed with any minty older Remington pump, carbine or not. The fact that they don't command high dollars is an added bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, and to be honest I would'nt know because I doubt I'm capable of shooting that good on any particular given day.


Heres a 2 MOA grouping with my 7600 in 308 from when I first started reloading. I was quite proud at the time.
