760 Remington with different barrel

I bought a 760 Remington with a 6.5x55 barrel on it .. The barrel appears too have been a heavy barrel and turned down and fluted almost the full length of the barrel till about 1 1/2 inch from the end ... The barrel is 24 inches long and finished at 3/4 inch or 19 mm .. Some of the writing on the barrel has been removed from the fluting .. What remains is RGER.MEK. KARLSKOGA .. How many letter before the RGER I have no idea ... Could this possibly be a swed barrel off a GG63 or GG80... On a plus note the bore is mint ... Just curious as too what it was originally ... Some one did a pile of work too make this fit .. Have not even shot it yet but it cycles fine and balances like a dream ...

Karlskoga is a town in Sweden, perhaps the location of Carl Gustaf, Husqvarna rifles were made in the town of Husqvarna. Between world wars Boffors and Krupp manufactured artillery in Karlskoga, I believe Boffors is still there.
