7600/20ga trigger group removal

So I wish to remove the trigger group on my 7615 for cleaning but may be missing a step or something.

The manual instructs to engange safety and punch out the 2 pins, so I did, but the trigger group still won't come out.
I even removed the screw just above the mag release to no avail. (reversed in pic)

Did you try it with the action open?

To be honest, the only time I take out the trigger assembly, is when I do a complete teardown/cleaning..

Try taking the stock off.The magwell may get in the way on the 7615. I remember my .35 7600 being pretty easy to strip.

The 7615 manual supplement says: (acts and prove it's safe)

1. Point in a safe direction
2. engage safety
3. close action
4. remove the butt Pad and loosen butt stock
5. remove the magazine insert screw
6. tap out front and rear plate pins
7. rotate the rear of magazine insert a few degrees, lift the rear of the trigger plate assembly, remove the assembly from the receiver.

I'll try and get a scan of the insert supplement when I get to a scanner, because there is more info printed on it, but those are the steps to remove the trigger assembly.

The owner's manual mine came with was an umbrella one for 76xx line and not specific to my particular.
