7600 Pump 35whelen/358 win?

Your long term memory is still hittin on all cylinders. To quote a hunting buddy when he first saw me carrying it in the bush - "It's a very sensible, practical gun". Why yes it is.

Would you buy another Carbine or would you rather a longer bbl?

I'm thinkin' the carbine would be pretty ripe to shoot with 250s. My previous 22" 35W/7600s where a handful before the addition of a recoil pad.

The .35 Whelen was offered in the 7600 from 1988 to 1996. It didn't sell well enough to keep going. A friend of mine has one. Nice rifle. I think there was a run of .358's done for Grice in 2007, but I don't know. IIRC there were a few made with laminate stocks. This year's special runs are .280 Remington and .300 Savage.

Grice never had a run of 358s,but the rumor was they were going to.
I had a 35rem chambered to 358.but sold it before I had a chance to use it.I would really like one of those carbine Whelens though.
