762mmfirearms Trigger Group issue.

Did you try filing down the one you had?

I stoned it and it was not enough. I decided not to grind it because its too easy to take off too much material. I would also have to get the angle just right. Easiest solution was to get a USGI catch and swap it out.
I am also contemplating putting in my USGI SA hammer and trigger because they are nice and broken in and adding the new 762 parts to my spare parts kit (bolt guts, trigger guts) as I plan on keeping this rifle for a very long time;)

Well I swapped out the mag catch with a GI one and it would still not lock in the mag. Turns out the housing was the problem.
So my Polytech housing now has all GI parts in it (except for the poly mag catch as it works very well as is) including an GI hammer, trigger and sear, GI pins, 762 safety, all springs, plunger ect.
Very nice trigger pull on her now:D

Just curious,as soon as someone can I'd like to here a comparison of 7.62 to USGI to Norc on the bolts and trigger groups. Especially bolt fit and if head space tightens up with the 7.62 the way it does with a TRW.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I’m thinking about getting a 7.62mm trigger group assembly.

Is there any more recent experience on this?

Has this issue with the housing been resolved?

Anyone fit this trigger group into their norc recently, and if so, how is the fit and function?

I'd be leary of dealing with 7.62mm firearms for anything. Service has been questionable at best all along, but there have been some recent cases of very poor customer service on american boards.

Appreciate the comment regarding service. Is there any chatter about quality?

Agreed, and the better question is, are they even export liscenced? Would be wise to know before trying to order. I am fitting one of their bolts to a krieger barrelled norc receiver for a fellow gun nut so will probably post some comments after it's all done.
