762x25 on stripper clips

Not to sound dumb but how do you use the stripper clips? Do they go int9 the magazines of my TT33? Feed from the top? My magsbare 8rds

It's unlikely that I would be buying this since I am so far away. But how do they work and what arm do they work on?

Are there any NR rifles\ sub guns that are chambered in 762x25?

Nothing legal in Canada.... to my knowledge is just TT33 designs and a pistol sold by CanAm last year for a while. I dont think there's anything else available. I'd like something in the calibre beyond the old Toki but can accept that developing a gun for what will in 5yrs be an oddball calibre isn't financially viable.

We've been asking for a long time....closest thing would be a chamber insert for a mosin or such....

the issue now is that the price of this ammo is going up to the point that its becoming financially foolish to spend $$ converting something when its the same price as 9mm.

IIRC, the CZ52 pistol was designed to shoot the hot SMG ammo. I have one and have shot some of the stuff that came in stripper clips. There was a bit of a panic a while back that the stripper clipped ammo was a bit too hot for TT33's. Not sure what came of that.

That's a myth that Czech surplus 7.62x25 is hot, it is and very similar to Soviet military surplus. One commercial brand is hotter, S&B if I'm not mistaken.

Czech BXN marked stuff is hotter than any other comblock x25 ammo. And definitely hotter than soviet ammo. Generally 1750 fps for BXN vs soviet 1400 fps. This is well known fact. This was done because czech army were forced to adopt x25 caliber and due to this their firearms were designed for hotter load to function reliably.
So no myth there its just plain truth.

^^Thank you. Back in the day, we bought those 52’s so we could shoot the $75/1000 hot stuff. I did shoot some in my 33, and the little clip on the side flew off.

Other ppl have different numbers. And they are in line:
The Czech m48 ammo will Chrony out of my pistol in the high 1400fps to low 1500fps range. It is SLOWER than new S&B commercial 7.62x25mm ammo that guys shoot to be "easy" on their prized pistol.

I have found higher velocity in Hirtenberger and Bulgarian 7.62x25mm than the M48 round. Not all lots, but for sure in some

One more:
A few years ago I shot some Czech 3 52 BXN ammo through a VZ24 SMG and a CZ52 pistol.
The ammo averaged 1836 fps from the SMG and 1573 fps out of the pistol.

As for CZ52 - design known to be less robust than TT-33.
Many times it was mentioned on reloaders and collectors forums, that there's no such thing as "hot SMG czhech 7.62x25", that S&B is more powerful, and that CZ52 is prone to break (especially with S&B).

Guy at the range was complaining that his soviet TT33 was not cycling well with commercial brass cased S&B ammo - various fail to feed and stove pipes. Surplus was OK.

CZ52 is designed to be very robust and ergonomic handgun. However the way its made and what kind of material used in its construction is different story. Its just pot metal gun that is all. There was one CZ52 on the EE for sale with cracked frame as example of what can happen with it. TT33 also was designed with 2000 rounds service life. My Norinco TT33 had cracked slide after 6000 rds of BXN steel cased stuff so construction of particular firearm is very important. As for "hot SMG Czech 7.62x25" If it comes on stripper clips it may as well be intended for SMG as we know only sub guns in Czech army had loader on the side to make use of them. No other firearm in x25 caliber used these stripper clips as we know.
