762x39 ammo

I feel I should know this answer,but for the time being I can not remember.With the imported 762 x 39 ammo.........is it the primer or the powder that makes the rust?????

neither make it rust, it's the lack of cleaning that causes rust...

priming compound will speed the rusting process.

The primer leaves salt in the abrrel. Salt attracts moisture, which causes rust.

Salt is easily washed off with hot water and then a normal clean & oil.

"Corosive" is not realy the coorect word. Try "Salty".
