77 gr lapua at 2700 fps

As I understand it... and I don't have one to confirm... but I think Tikka makes two different 223 actions and one is shorter than the other.

If you have the short one, you are basically screwed for mag feed options with long rounds, but if you have the long action T3X I think... there's hope.

It's hard to beat Varget for the 223... but I've also used Vihtivori 540 and 550
 
Dont give up on your 223 yet. Love shooting my 223.

Just spun on a new barrel this spring so I could shoot the 80 ELDs and so far if I can do my part they can shoot pretty good. Havent done much of a load development yet as Im still fire forming 200 new brass I got to go through. Right now Im doing 24.5 varget with a AOL of 2.57. Im single feeding right now but in the future it looks like the MDT mags will work once I do a bit more filing on the inside to give the rounds a little more space.

As for shooting them out at distance, I took the 80s to 1105 with 32 MOA on the gun and they seemed to be real close, as I had a tail wind that day and it was gusting so I had like a couple groups going. Also looking back in the books from last year with the 70 RDFs and I was 29 at 1020, so I suggest keep playing around as youll tighten those numbers up.
 
Oh I’m not giving up, love the gun, just wanted some more umph for the 1000. Will definitely give the 80s a try as well, the bc on those is great I just loaded what I had and stayed in book values for load, as I was in a rush to get dialed in. Those numbers of yours are pretty low, how fast are you running them
