A friend of mine wants to shoot his black powder for deer hunting this year and bought some 777 pellets for it. They are (according to the can) supposed to weigh 50 grains but every one he has weighed on a digital scale is either 29 or 30 grains. Is this normal and if so why does the can say 50? Is this an equivalent? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mikea 50 grains is the equivalent to black powder .The pellets will weigh approx. 30 grains .I found when I used the pellets to use two instead of three .The third didn`t seem to gain anything .If he finds inconsistent shots switch to loose powder thts what I ended up doing .
