7mm-08 Ackley LVSF Project Done!

Hey Guys,
I got my 7-08 AI back in the mail today from the gunsmith....very excited. Snapped a few pics....the wind was bad outside so these pics will have to do for now....

A bit about the project....

Bought new as a 7mm-08 LVSF factory gun
Re-stock with McMillan Classic (pillar bedded)
Rechambered 7mm-08 Ackley Improved
Lugs Lapped
Callahan Bolt Shroud/Pin Installed
Trigger tuned/honed to 2 3/4
Bolt handle hollowed
Bead Blasted
Lapped Talleys
VXIII 3.5-10 x 40

So far I'm very happy with the work done....gunsmith was Mitch Kendall in BC and he is absolutely amazing to work with....

Cant wait to get out and send some rounds down the tube!!

Nice looking barrel. I built a .257 ackley on a brno 98 action a few yr's back.
It easly shoot's 1/2 inch groups @ 100yrds.
I hope you 7mm-08 works well also.
Ackley made some real nice cartridges.
I have both P.O. ackleys books. have you ever read them?
He also made a nice .284 -30 wildcat. but it's so close to the 7.5 x55 swiss which also uses a .30 bullet.
My next project will be a .458 American on a 98 action.

Sweet rig! What the rate of twist on that barrel? I'm interested to see the groups that thing will produce, please post a range report.
