Okay

Have done all my resizing, and annealing.(may the Hornady die rest in peace, long live the RCBS)

The brass is .012" to .015" short of minimum length.

My question is, how much growth can I expect after one fire forming???

It's not so short you need to worry. I've found that depending on what brass I use I get different lengths right after resizing.

Seems the higher end winchester usually comes up a little short like yours. I've also never bothered to anneal it and haven't had any real worries with life. That said, I always full length resize and don't load a case more than 5 times max. I have a huge pile of .308 brass that I've been picking up at the range since i got my 7mm-08 a little over a year ago, so.....no real brass shortage around here! Its all free!!!

You may want to check your neck thickness ! The brass that you sized down had to go somewhere ! I made a bunch of 7/08 for a single shot pistol from .308 military and it needed to be outside neck turned . Just my observations and your experience may be different !
