Hey all need a little help. Trying to find some hornady 7mm-08 brass. I bought and fired some factory ammo just to have something to reload with but that isn't the most cost effective thing around.
I would consider another brand as well I guess.
Any leads???

Thanks in advance.

Lapua now makes 7mm-08, hirsch precision has a fair bit of it in stock.
Good thing is its stamped properly, easier to keep many types separate, less work.

Suggest that you buy quickly as we're down to 19,400 this AM!

Thanks SND for helping us unload and organize. You and Denise are a great assets to the shooting community.

308 brass plus 7-08 die equals 7-08 brass. What's the problem?

Doet wat to spend $100+ on 100 brass. It's a waste of money to me. I get good results with regular brass. Plus of I lose one I am not out $10. Also there has been zero 308 brass that I have seen around here for at least a year.

I think you mean $1/case, not $10/case. If it was $10/case then a box of 100 brass would cost $1,000.

I've had no issue finding once fired brass if you don't mind resizing to 7mm necks. Budget Shooter Supply got a bunch in at somewhere around $250/1000. There is usually some, somewhere on the EE. Last bag of new 308 factory Remington brass I saw was around $50 for a bag of 50 due to price gouging so you are paying the same cost as Lapua without Lapua quality.

Ok I am looking for hornady 7mm-08 head stamped brass. I don't want 308 stamped brass. Not into mixing up head stamps.

Here,..did you check all these Hornady distributors ? http://www.hornady.com/retail-locator/canadian-new-list

Such a specific item may prove to be hard to find in this time of reload supply resession.
Like the old saying goes, "Beggars Can't Be Choosers". It sucks, but you may just have to settle for what ever you can get right now,..7-08 of another brand or resize some 308win. I have resized 308 for the 7-08 and it worked fine. The only problem that I have heard of with resizing 308 down to 7mm is the case neck might be a little thick if your rifle has a very tight chamber. Or you may want/have to turn the necks. I was reloading for a semi-auto, so I didn't run into that problem.

Aside from your terrible math, have you actually looked at the price of Hornady brass? It costs more than Lapua brass.

I found 2 bags of Winchester 7-08 brass about 2yrs ago, bought both of them, haven't seen ANY since...

Pony up the cash for Lapua or get what you can off the EE.

Make friends that don't reload, who shoot 308, go to the range, pocket their spent brass. Resize their brass.

Or take a good look at brass people leave at the range. If it looks like once fired in a new box, it's very likely to be. Always do a good inspection of anyone else's brass. Not that I've ever done something like that... Leave rusty junk split brass at range..

I know how to look through range brass. I have gotten lots of 223 and 30-06 brass like that.

Best quality is usually best value. Last time I compared Win/Lapua pricing on 308W, Lapua was $8.00/100 more expensive.
