7mm-08 loads

Receipe#1: IMR-4350, 45.5gr, WLR, 139gr Hornady Interlock = 2603 fps
Receipe#2: IMR-4350, 46.5gr, WLR, 139gr Hornady Interlock = 2669 fps
Receipe#3: IMR-4350, 48.7gr, WLR, 140gr Nosler Bal-Tip = 2818 fps

Temperature: 0 celsius
100ft above sea level.
Accuracy wise, each one made 3/4 moa at 100 meters.
Grouping of 4 shot.
Like what, there`s someday better than others.

In the past i've made some speed test.
One of them was with the IMR-4320.
42.9gr=2775 fps
43.4gr=2846 fps
I'm aiming for a speed in the 2800fps area.
Today i have tryed
IMR-4320, 43.1gr, WLR,139gr Hornady Interlock, FPS ? too cloudy for the chrony.
but accuracy seems to be there, after the first 3 shot, no speed reading yet.

Hey Nick,

Our new Sako A7 papers the same with 140Gr Sierra's and Barnes TTSX BT.

Be carefull not to over do it though...But we seat ours touching the lands with the 140 Sierra's...then approx .050 off the lands with the 140 Barnes.

Interestingly enough...due to the different ogive of the two bullets, we use the same COL for both bullets! just worked out that way.

the Tikka mag may not let you seat your bullets out that far though...so check that too.

we use 42.5 gr of Varget in our A7. Like i said, be carefull and work your way up to it. one thing at a time.

love the cartridge :shotgun:
