7mm-08, suitable bullet weight for coyotes and +300 yd target shooting?

cool mate,
I had to laod a few 120gr sierra pro hunts up today an try , not so good so far..
back to drawing board, but did shoot 13gr to 300m 330meter ranged) an shot a 4 inch group.. not bad for me an ol Kimberly.

maybe il just use the 140gr
woodleighs myself for everything inside of 350m-400m with practise.

Nice rifle make and don't give up on the pro hunters. The 140's shot well for me here but haven't tried the 120s but there is something to be said about our Savage's liking the flat base. I'll give them a go sometime for plinking but a few others in the line up ahead of that one.

I think there is merit on the seating depth thread you started. I use the OCW method and it's worked very well for us. Consider that or try Mystic Precisions method. It's a little easier on bullet consumption.

Load up your 140s that you use for deer and see how it goes.
If nothing else it will give you more confidence come deer season, I've shot 2 with my 7/08 during hunting season, 139gr Interlocks the exit hole wasn't large at all...well any worse than a 55gr Vmax does from my 223...

Yes...that's what I've decided on. I'm starting to believe in the merit of keeping things the same for times where it's important...as you and others have suggested.

In this case I'll drop in 140gr Nosler BT's to try out and see how they do. I was really pleased with AB's on deer this year.
