7mm Mag and 160grn Accubond.......

I shoot the 160gr NAB in my 7mm SAUM. Great bullet for open country hunting. Holds up well up close too. Only shot a black bear and a coyote with it but it works excellent!

try H4831sc or RL22 first, those would be my top picks

accubond

I use the 160gr accubond in my 7mm RM with 71.5gr of retumbo, WLRM primer for .5'' accuracy and 3100fps, the M70 I have has had alot of fine work done to it and it shoots 140gr accubonds into .350'' groups. My 257 weatherby on a M700 action shoots 110gr accubonds into .380-.500'' groups all the time so they work for my 2 rifles.

I cannot speak for the 7mm - 160 accubonds, but my 7x57, M700 Classic shoots the 140 AB into little bitty groups, averaging around .7 - .85moa right out to 400 yards, as far as I have shot it. My 308 Norma Mag just dotes on the 200 Accubond with a big charge of Reloder 25. It will consistantly shoot that AB into 1.2" at 200 yards [3-shot group] It is obviously the bullet I will hunt with this fall. Eagleye.

I used the 160 accubond a few years ago on a bull elk. 3 shots on the ribcage behind the shoulder at a lasered 148 yrds. All 3 bullets blew apart and the elk had to be finished off at close range. I won'tuse accubonds on gophers anymore....Just my personal experience. For those wondering the load was fired from a .280 remington around 2800 fps at the muzzle.

There were several reported incidents early in Accubond production where complete failures occurred. This has apparently has been addressed by Nosler, since the current AB's are receiving glowing reports in the field in the last couple of years. I shot a couple of moose with the 8mm 200 AB and had complete passthroughs and DRD on both. Likewise the 7mm 140 on a muley and a medium Black Bear EE.
