I do 2750 with 42.5 gr varget out of a 22.5in 7SAW with 162 ELD-Ms at 2.945in coal. It's a warm load probably around 60k psi in Quickload. I'm still in the 1/2 moa accuracy node at 42.3gr so I'll stay there.
I get an extra 75fps if I use RL17 but its temp sensitive compared to varget and I didn't want to bother with summer/winter loads.
3000 FPS out of a 27in barrel is stupid hot and you'll start blowing primers pretty quick and/or get a really hard bolt lift with a wee bit of a carbon ring or a hot/humid day.
That was a 12 shot ladder group from 41.8 to 42.5gr. Barrel is Bartlein 9tw #3 or 3B contour, chambering done by Gene at GBG (best guy in the BC interior)
I've also been trying really hard to get the PVA Cayuga 151gr to shoot but I think they foul the barrel too quick and are really really depth sensitive and at 2$ per bullet I'm not sure I want to go and blow another 25-50 on seating depth ladder test before fall when the Hornady 162s shoots so well but I was getting these to shoot 1moa at 2850 fps which is decent considering their BC is 0.317 g7 I'm just not happy with the cold bore shot performance but they seem to do better once the barrel settles but I'm just not satisfied with the vertical spread on cold bore shot yet.
