7mm or .340 Wby for moose??

Take the one that interests you most. They will both work...

Ya I know they will both work....but....Its just a matter of how much recoil I want to play with. The bull in my pics took a .225 grain hornady slug at 3100 fps. It went 3 feet....straight down...:D That thing got slapped so hard that when we got it into the meat market the tenderloins fell out of it...right there on the floor for all to see...

The .460 right now I am running a 405 grain slug at 2850 fps...its the thin jacketed rem slug....but with that amount of weight it would punch through any thing.I havent hunted in about 6 or 7 years now and just like the ####s and giggles factor of whapping a moose with the .460.

I know that I dont need that much horse power....but just to do it would be fun.

They have to be the most inaccurate bullet I have ever fired....When i got my .416 rigby I got about 100, 300 and 350 grain barnes with it....best I could do with them was 4 inch groups...
