7mm PRC is SAAMI approved.

So with all the new(ish) calibers. Some will be big hits, others niche, others rare or obsolete in 10 years.

The two calibers that interest me are 6.8 western, and 7mm prc. Think im going to wait and see which is popular, receives marketing push, inspires new projectiles, has readily avaliable/good/affordable brass.

Interests change, I was a big magnum guy, now sub calibers and pistol caliber cowboy carbines interest me.

Between those two the 6.8 will be history by this time next year.

That's why a lot of cartridge introductions fail - because they don't get adequately supported.

Look at the .260 Rem. Great cartridge, but it got essentially no commercial support. That opened the door for the 6.5 Creedmoor, which became successful because it actually had support behind it.

It's why these PRC cartridges are here to stay. Like it or not, they're being adequately supported unlike most other new cartridges.

They have also been designed to correct most of the little “could be better” things about their direct competitors. It’s an east button for the non-reloaders who just buy factory guns and don’t change barrels etc.

Aside from Aaron promoting himself/Gunwerks at every turn it’s pretty good, but when he stated Gunwerks single handedly saved the 7mm Remington Magnum from extinction I almost gagged…..wow just wow, I usually like AD but man
O man it was tough to listen to him at times.
