Hey just curious if anyone has been using this caliber and powder. I use 180 grain Berger VLDs. A lot of books seem to state 66 grains is max with 180s. Anyone getting safe loads beyond 66 grains? What kind of velocities have you been seeing beyond 66 if so.

I've had fairly good success using Retumbo in my 7mm.
I'm running 70.2 grains with 180 Berger Match Hunting VLD's in my Sendero. I'm getting 2975fps with this load.
During load development, I started seeing pressure signs right around 71 grains in my rifle.
I have reloaded some of my brass 7 times now with this load and have only culled a couple for loose(ish) primer pockets. I'm using Federal brass.

Hodgdon's online reloading data shows a max load of 70.8 grains of Retumbo with Berger 180 VLD's.
