I am looking to start reloading 7mm rem mag with my Dillan 550. Most of my experience has been reloading pistol ammo and 5.56mm (not looking accuracy up to now).

I want to develop a 7mm round for accurate long range hunting deer, moose and caribou. That means a powder that works well in warm to cold weather. I have a lot of Hornady and Norma brass and I like Barnes 160gr since their factory ammo shoots accurate in my rifle and it seams to work well of most size game. What powder would you recommend and what dies work well for seating and neck Sizing? I hear seating the bullet straight can be a challenge on the 7mm rem mag. What other bullets should I consider?

Of corse I expect to reload in a single stage style and measure each powder charge for for accuracy.

I have found the Reloader powders to be temp sensitive. RL 22 in particular. Some people will disagree. I prefer IMR powders. Never any issues.

For all your normal shooting, forget about temperature change affecting powder. Many of the popular rifle powders we use have been used extensively for a hundred plus years and until the inter net became popular, less than twenty years ago, no one would know what you were talking about if you asked about temperature change.
