Hi Everyone

I'm just starting to reload my 7MM REM MAG Browning blot action.

Looking to see what people have been reloading for big game from elk, moose and bear (grizzly also)

Any recommendations, data or experiences that can help me out would be great...

Happy hunting everyone

Work up a heavy for caliber premium bullet load, and you will have the best you can get out of the 7mm Mag for your purposes. Nosler, or Barnes is where I would start.

Stick with the 160g or heavier for bullets made out of lead. The Nosler Accubond and Partition are top notch for everything on your list. They do everything very well, expand violently AND penetrate.

For powder I like Reloader 22 with my 160g and 175g bullets.

The suggestions made so far are on the money.
I have always felt that the 7mm Rem Mag, [and other 7mm Mags] are best served with 160 grain bullets.
As such, the 160 Partition has been my all time favorite. [IMR 7828 is a perfect match, BTW]

However, the 160 NAB may be more accurate, as it is in my 7mm SAUM.
In that case, the NAB would be a better choice.

If you are going to use a monometal bullet [TTSX, GMX, E-Tip, etc] then you can step down a bit in weight.

Regards, Dave.

Eagleye is correct in saying the 160 grain bullet is optimum for the 7mm mag.....classic long range moose and elk medicine.....

Jack O'Connor once wrote that Remington was using IMR7828 in their factory offerings in 7mm Rem Mag long before it was made available to the general public.....

When it comes to mountain grizzlies, I go along with the late Bob Hagel who preferred the 175 grain Nosler Partition bullet in the 7mm mag cartridge......I doubt there was anyone who did as much load development on magnum cartridges as Bob Hagel......the man knew his stuff......and took many a bear along the coastal regions and in the mountains.....

I'd look at 4831, and 160gr... good bullets. I like Nosler Accubonds quite a bit, and Barnes TSX as well. Partitions are good too, of course.

My most accurate load is using 160 accubonds and IMR 7828 ssc but I haven't used it on game yet. I'm hopefully going to get a chance this year.

Up til now I've been using 160 partitions and IMR 4831. A little more velocity but not quite as accurate. Sure works good on moose though. Always a pass through up to 300 yards and very little meat damage.
