I recently inherited a 7mm STW and all the reloading gear for it. Unfortunately I'm having a helluva ti.e finding brass for it. So I had a few questions for the reloading guru's.

1. Do you know where I can get some brass for a reasonable price in Canada? Seems everywhere is out of stock.

2. I know it's possible to resize a 8mm rem mag case down to 7mm as it's the parent case, also cant find any of these either.

3. Now it's my understanding that the 8mm rem mag and the .300 wm are both based off the .375 h&h does that mean I can resize a case for a .300? Or is it to big of a diffrence?

Thanks in advance
Rob

300 and 338 wm ammo are way to short. If the 300 weatherby is based off the 375hh as well ( by looks it is) you can use that. It should be pretty close to same length after the shoulder is blown out. 375hh brass may be your best bet really and shouldnt be too hard to find.

So I ended up finding some brass locally! Now i just need to go get it and start my 1st adventure in hand loading heh.

Before you do any resizing of brass by all means get someone to learn you how to adjust your sizing die for belted brass. You can ruin your cases in a short time. Don't go by the instructions that come with the dies.

Well lucky for me(hopefully) this is my grandfather old equipment and all the dies should still be set properly. I'll do a test run to make sure first though

Cabela's sells Nosler brass and it is already to go just prime, powder bullet and shoot! Nothing so nice at 1000 yrd as 7STW
