7MM Ultra Mag Reloading Info

I am looking for some powder and bullets suggestions for this rifle.Any info would be appreciated.I would like to use 150 grain bullets

Without info such as what you are using the gun for, i.e. what you are hunting, no-one can recommend a bullet, much less a load. The fastest powder that will be any use is probably H4350 (and only with the lightest bullets), otherwise you're looking at the slow end of powders.

1 Load for 3 of these, 2 are mine one is a cousin of mine.

I load 160 grain TSX bullets with Retumbo

I also load 140 gr Accubonds with Retumbo

I have tried RL-25 and H-870 H-4831, H-1000 but Retumbo is the powder for the Ultra Mags, specialy 7mm and 300

Yup, heavy bullets and very slow powders are your friends.

I shoot the 160gr Accubonds with Retumbo. Shoots a raged hole at 100 yards. Cant argue with that for a factory barrel.

Maybe give US869 a whirl.....My STW seems like it pushing 160 Accubonds.

im running the 168 smk and both Retumbo and H1000 work excellent with Retumbo taking a slight lead in accuracy . i have not chronoed them so speed wise,,,dunno.. will be doing a load up with 180 Begerz in the spring ...hope they work.

Yours perhaps,but not mine.I have used the 7mmstw and 7mmrum to take elk,moose,deer,bighorn,and pronghorn all with 140gr bullets.
