hi folks
i have a 7mm wsm build on its way, all i am missing right now are the reloading tools for the beast.

i need a good neck turning tool, if it could be cheap i would love it.

i also need dies.
this is where i am not sure what to buy. i would usually go with redding but forster have the adjustment on the neck tension wich i think i like.

same bullet seater desing, i am not too woried with that

should i go full size
neck size with the bushing in it to bump the shoulder
adjustable neck tension
? ? ? ? ?

anyone can help me a little plz

Ben

I have been shooting the 7 wsm for a few years now using the Forster FL sizer and Ultra seater. I like them a lot and haven't found much runout. I see no need for the neck sizer, I set my dies up to size the neck and bump the shoulder back a few thou and it seems to be working out pretty well.

I used the neck turning tool on that particular brass but didn't notice much difference in performance. K&M neck turners work well.

I would recommend a straight line seater Forster or Redding, Lee Collet neck die and a Forster FL sizer.
For neck turning I have been using the K&M for years and still consider top notch. There are of coarse others
out there but in my opinion you would have to go full custom to better these combo's above.

For neck turning I use the rcbs hand turner
Forester makes a bushing bump die so you could just neck size and push the shoulders back a bit every time
Or you could get a redding type s bushing die and a body die to bump the shoulders when the cases won't chamber easily
You'll need to either wait and measure a loaded round before you order bushings or just get a few different size bushings to start with.
If you are going to load vld's bullets you might be better off to get a forester ultra seater die to help with run out or you could just try loading some with a standard seater and measure the run out and see how you do.
It's a vicious circle

for sure i am going with the forster bullet seater. it look like a neat tool.

the full size/neck size/shoulder bump, tthats where i am not too sure.

i dont want to full size because then my round is not fireformed anymore. i wish i could afford a full lenght custom made for my brass. its a little more than 200$+shipping

ivo, hot do you set that forster die to resize the neck without touching the rest of your brass ? ?
i like the idea.

Technically I am full length sizing but set the die high on the shell holder when the ram is all the way up(just enough so that you feel a touch of "crush").

You will eventually need a FL sizer so might as well buy it up front along with the Forster seater, but for that little bit of extra accuracy the shoulder bump die or what Redding calls a Body Die and the Lee neck collet die will give you what you are looking for.
Good Luck
