I was loading some new loads for my 7mm wsm 160 accubonds and mag pro. Got up to 70 grains and 2950 fps. Accuracy seems good. I brought with me some factory winchester supreme accubonds 160 grains. I shot a couple over the crony they measured 3200 fps, wtf. When I got home I pulled a factory round apart. Then weighed the bullet it was 160 grain, the powder was around 75 gn. Has anybody else seen this? What kind of powder dose winchester use? The rifle is an x bolt . Just curious thanks.

I thought it might be 780 or 760. Just wondered how winchester can make a load like that with no pressure sings. I was having a hard time getting close to 3000 fps trying a few different powders. Thanks for the reply.

On the plastic jar of Hodgdon's Superformance powder is loading information for three different calibres. One is 300 WSM.

300 WSM---73.5 grains-----155 gr, Hdy-A-Max--Win case--WLRM--- ---3405 fps.

One of the other calibres is 243. --49grs. -----75gr. HDY HP-----WLRP----- 3510 fps.

I have used the 243 load and the velocity is about exactly what I get.
