7mm WSM or NOT?

Shooting elder Don Hall shooting a clunky old 308 and low BC bullets can still whoop the arses of many a cocky young F-Open shooter shooting the latest and greatest cartridges and bullets. There is no substitute for experience.

Ian,
Was that you in Mission when Don handed me my ass like an old tattered tractor seat?

I too shoot a 7wsm(PGW Coyote) and although I haven't shot it enough to change a barrel yet, it is a very finicky calibre to reload for! While I am not a competition winning shooter there are a few people on this site that know I can hold my own in most situations, and I have owned and reloaded for quite a few precision rifles in many calibres, the 7wsm is BY FAR the most frustrating calibre I have reloaded for! On the other hand my .260 AI is one of the easiest( it shoots every combination I have tried so far very well).

These are only my own experiences but I thought I would let you know what you can expect.

I suspect Don handed us both our asses on a tractor seat!

I have to snicker when i read threads like this. There is an honest-to-god belief that a greasier, faster gun/cartridge makes all the difference in the world. Nobody that has met legends like Don would ever be so foolish as to suggest that 1 cartridge is better than another.... that is the stuff of trade magazines.

Beware of the man who shoots but one rifle, for he knows hopw to use it!

It puts a smile on my face that the OP is gong with a 6BR, because i KNOW it will teach him to be a better shooter in the end.
