7mm WSM who chambers it?

Abolt II
Xbolt
BAR ShortTrac
BLR
Older Kimber 8400
New Haven Winchester Model 70
Ruger MKII (rarer then hens teeth)

The 7mm WSM is awesome, thank you for not loving the .270 WSM

Nope, it is actually the longer 22" barrel.

Works fine for my bush gun. under 7lbs and nice to carry. Bit of recoil due to weight though, but it isn't my target rifle so that is fine.

I saw the BLR in 7 wsm. Is it limited by the 20" barrel? I wish browning would lighten their trigger up a little too.

If tikka made one in 7mm wsm, it just might seal the deal.

A 7mm WSM for a bush gun? Do you think there might be other choices?

Of course, there are many other choices.

Was mine incorrect?

Not incorrect just odd. When I think of a bush gun I think of a 30/30 or a 303 or even a 12ga. Not to mention a 45/70 or a 444 or 450 Marlin etc.
I would think a 7mm wsm ( too many letters) would be better suited to distance shooting.

It's a BLR , not gonna be doing any F-class with that one.

I actually went in to buy a 45-70 Marlin, looked at a 7-08 take down BLR, then the guy says , " you want a good deal on a lever today? , I said let's see it!" 4 shots through it and $300.00 less than retail, I woulda been a fool to say no :p

I pull trigger, bullet comes out end. Does exactly what I need.

Sorry I forgot you were not the OP. He was looking for a Bolt gun until you came along trying to pawn off your blr as a "bush gun". :)

I have a BLR in 7WSM you want it???:p

Actually it is a versatile caliber and more bullets available over the 270 if you reload.
I shoot a 270. Only use two or three bullets in it. Why do I need more selection?

I also have a 7mag. Probably won't shoot more than two or three bullets in that too.

Point is that most shooter don't use the full range of selection that is usually toted as a the advantage of one caliber over another, so the aforementioned advantage is moot.

I have a 7Mag here. I should get it cut off a bit at the chamber and have it rechambered for 7WSM or 7SAUM. Could really seat those bullets out with the long action and play a bit with it.

.

Ok, to make it easier for you to understand...........
There is the option if someone wants to use his 7WSM for many applications(target , varmint , small game, large game).
If one chooses to reload and use the rifle for multiple jobs then something chambered in a 7mm will have a wider range and easier time finding components. I really don't care what you use or how many bullets you require. The OP was askin bout the 7WSM, I explained why it possibly is a better choice.

Time to go to work now.
