7mm wsm

No, it's a very fine hair. :D
I've never cared for any of the WSM's or short fatties, they feed like crap, don't fit into the elastic buttstock holders, won't fit older powder funnels or normal plastic ammo containers and cut mag capacity. If I want to shave 8 ounces of weight, I'll take a dump before heading out.

I'll take a Cindy Crawford over Rosie O'Donnell anyday. ;)

I'll give you that. It's true, they don't fit the old powder funnels. That's the only part I can agree with, though :D

Thats the kind of info I'm looking for.

All the loads that I use are book loads (or at most within 1gr of book loads), or are published in articles on 6mmBR.com.

I found 67gr of IMR7828ssc to give 3105fps ave with the 162gr AM in my rifle (24" barrel), and 63.5gr of RL17 to give 3295fps with the 140gr TTSX. A charge of 66.5gr of 7828ssc gave better accuracy and 3050fps, so I stuck with that instead of the 67gr load.

I have a stainless A bolt in 7 Wsm. I have absolutely no problems with ammo feeding and so far the accuracy has been excellent with both factory and also using Barnes 140ttsx bullets. I use Magpro powder for my reloads-excellent.

If you're buying a new rifle, and you like the 7mm wsm ballistics, get the .270wsm!
It's a calibre that's going to stay, and as they're selling well, ammo will become even
more widely available as time goes on, even though it's not bad even now.
The .270wsm is the .270 of the new millenium, and as has been mentioned it's killed
the 7mm wsm in the marketplace. The 7mm wsm will probably be dead within a few years, and you'll have all sorts of fun trying to find ammo for it.

You really think we'll run out of .284 cal bullets and .300 brass ???

Proper head stamped brass and factory ammo mean nothing to me. If there is 300/270wsm brass then there will always be 7wsm brass.

Thinking 7wsm as a long term round but would give the 300 a go for a bit till I had a7wsm built.

I went an bought myself a .300wsm
I have had to use 150gr pills to be comfortable an accurate pulling triggers, i would possibly prefer the 7wsm if i was intersted in Reloading.
The 270 & 300 is here to stay in Aus...

So much BS, load manual masturbation and flat out horse spit in this thread it isnt even funny....

Guys that havent loaded for or shot short 7s telling the guys that have that their numbers arent right because the load manual says its not true....people rambling about how "dead" a cartridge is....holy s**t balls....brass/ammo is going to dissappear from the earth boys!!! Hoard!! Hoard!!!

People wouldnt believe my 22" piped 223 flings 75amaxs at 3000-3050 fps either or that a 22" 7SAUM clocks 2980 avg with mag fed 162 Amaxs or a 22" 25-06 does 3300 with 115 B-Tips because "alliants website says blah blah blah".

Tyler send me those two non-savage 7's so I can see what the manual says about them :D

And to say the 270 WSM is a carbon copy of the 7WSM....I'll have to agree with that character GTRussel...guys gotta shoot more and gawk less.

Build the 7mm, you wont regret it.

7 Wsm will be around for awhile. It won't be Mr Popularity in hunting circles but it is catching on with the long range guys. Cabelas always have ammo for it when I have been there. You fire the factory stuff and you know its got horsepower. I have a box of Federal blue box in 150's and it says 3200fps on the lid-thats cookin! No deer, Moose or Elk is gonna shake that one off. The good old stand by's are great but when I show someone one of my rounds compared to their 308, their eye's light up and right away they want to try it.
