7mm08

Any of it works well. The 7mm-08 will kill anything from mice to moose! Very under estimated round! IMO.

Dave.

Just bought my first 7mm in o8 this year.... I'm quite impressed with it so far. So Far I've really only shot the Hornady Superformance 139gr sst.... I really like them alot.

I use Remington 140 GR Core-Lokt PSP, I don't think its anything special but is comfortable and accurate. I have some 120 GR HP but haven't shot enough of it to form an opinion.
I was checking my stock of 7-08 barrels and I have two new stainless, one new medium parkerised, and one for a 700 BDL.
You never know when you need a barrel.
I have a few hundred brass, most of it is new. Now I will have to learn to reload.

thanks everyone, i bought the gun with a couple boxes of fusion 140g and i like them. i was juts curious as to what else was out there, thanks for the insight

Berger makes some 180's.As well as Sierra. The others I am not sure off the top of me head.175's does sound right.

But the best performers in 7mm-08 are 90% of the time in the 140's with factory twist rates for hunting, High BC bullets can give you some very impressive ballistics.

I like Swift Scirroco II's in 150gr. Group extremely well and bleed off the least amount of energy down range if you are into distance shooting.

The one "flaw" in the .7mm-08 compared to the magnums or the .280 is that it doesn't do very will with the heavy for calibre bullets in comparison. If you want to use the heavy 7mm bullets for larger game, you would be better off with a .280 Rem or one of the magnums.

Or shoot 140 ttsx. Lighter bullet than retains the goods.
