I just had to try Superformance in my #1 7x57. Decided to try the 150 Partition with it.

Started at 51 grains, and went up to 53 grains. 53 grains graphs 2850 and shot 1 moa.
No undue pressure signs, and no head expansion of the case. I'll take it!!

I had already established a good load with the 140 Accubond, but had not graphed it,
so today was the day [140 AB, WLR primer, 51 grains of Norma 204 in a Frontier case]
Chronograph says 2925 average for 3. All good.

Finally, I have a quantity of older Remington 150 Cor-Lokt bullets, originally designed
for the 7mm Rem Mag. Imagine my surprise to find a load of 4955 [49.5 gr] that shot a
ragged hole at 100 and 1.5" at 200 with this bullet. Graph says 2860 fps

Now to find something to shoot with one of these loads. :) Dave.

Thanks for your earlier work on the 7x57 , Andy. How I missed your original post, I have no idea, but it is here now. :) Regards, Dave.

In a letter dated Sept 30/1988 from Hercules Powder they state RE#15.RE#19 + RE#22 are improved versions of the powders previously sold by Norma as N203,N-204 and MRP Rottweil R904 is identical to N-204 and Rottweil R905 is identical to N-205.The improved versions Hercules is importing has better deterrents for burn rate control and better moisture resistance.Reduce charges 10% and work up from there. I think Alliant is now making the RE series of powders so this is old.RE#15 is closer to N-203B.

The chart even shows quite a disparity between RL 19 and N204
When he was still overseeing the powder section of Norma, I had
a long telephone conversation with Nils Kvale in Sweden
He told me that old Norma 205, Bofors RP-5 and MRP were all essentially
the same powder. When I asked about RL 22, he said while close to some Norma
powders the formula for powders manufactured for Alliant were all unique.
