Two rifles in the locker.
The one that I am trying to find a group for is a 95 Mauser action.
Twist is 1-9" and a 21 and a arf inch barrel.

Bullets I have are Hornady Interlock 120's and 139's.
Not great groups with the 154's.

Powder in the kitty are IMR 4320 and IMR 4350.

I just loaded 10 to try in the 120 grain bullets with 44 g's of IMR 4320.
Doo-able?

Open to suggestions with the supplies above.

Longer bullets usually shoot best in 1-9" or quicker twists and long throats of 7x57's. I use 160- 175's in my 7x57's and leave the lightweights for use in the 7mm08's. Of course experimenting is the spice of life, so I hope your experiences are the exception to the "norm"!

Happy New Year Looky!!
It's been a while since I did any serious reload playing with the 7x57mm. From my past reload record book, in my Brno and with the 'goodies' you have listed, what worked well for me was
48.5gr of IMR-4350
45.0gr of IMR 4320
Other than that, at present, the only 7x57 I have is a 7x57R in a Brno OU combo gun but I'm using a heavier bullets in it in the 145gr - 160gr weight range.

I'd try 48-49 grs. of IMR 4350 for the 139's. I load mine a bit hotter than that, but I have a model 98 with a long throat, so I can get away with it. I've never had much use for 120's.
